Getting started
Work through the getting-started checklist
Use the Getting started page to create your first queue, add an agent, connect web chat and make a test call.
Steps
Open the checklist
Choose Getting started in the menu, or Continue setup on the dashboard. The page shows how many steps are done and ends with Your desk is ready.
Create a queue
Under Create a queue, give the queue a name (it suggests Support) and choose Create queue. Queues hold conversations and calls until an agent takes them.
Add an agent
Under Add an agent, enter the agent's e-mail address and choose Invite. An invitation is sent. To give someone a phone extension as well, use Add agents and give them extensions.
Connect a channel
Under Connect a channel, enter Your website address and choose Create the web chat, then paste the snippet into your site. E-mail and WhatsApp are covered in Set up e-mail and web chat and Connect WhatsApp with your own Meta account.
Route the channel to the queue
The step Route a channel to a queue is done when a channel delivers into a queue, or into a flow that ends in one.
Secure your login and add credit
Set up two-step verification (guide) and add credit to the wallet (guide). Calls and messages are prepaid.
Make a test call
Choose Open the phone, place a call to check your headset and the line, then choose I have made a test call. See Make and take calls in the browser.
Good to know
- A step turns done by itself once the work exists, so you can do the steps in any order. Some steps are marked optional.
- Telephony steps wait until your business has been verified (KYB). A trial cannot buy numbers: choose a plan first.
- The checklist also offers steps to verify your first number, publish a flow and set up your brand (the name and colour your team sees).
