Connect LINE with your own Official Account
Connect your LINE Official Account: what to prepare, the form on Channels, the webhook, and what replies cost on your LINE plan.
Steps
Prepare your LINE account
You need a LINE Official Account with the Messaging API switched on: in LINE Official Account Manager, under Settings, then Messaging API.
Collect the details
In the LINE Developers Console open the channel. Basic settings has the Channel ID and Channel secret; Messaging API issues the long-lived Channel access token.
Connect the account
Open Channels. Under Connect an account choose LINE, fill in Channel ID, Channel secret and Channel access token (long-lived), and choose Connect. The page then shows the webhook address.
Set the webhook
In the console, on Messaging API, paste the address under Webhook settings, choose Verify and switch on Use webhook. Switch off LINE's greeting and auto-reply messages if agents answer everything.
Answer in Workspace
Text, photos, video, audio, files, stickers and locations arrive as a conversation in Workspace. Files pass the malware scanner first. LINE has no reply window.
Know what a reply costs
A message sent straight after the customer writes uses LINE's free reply. Later it goes as a push, which counts against your LINE plan's monthly messages. You pay LINE directly; Ringura adds no charge. When the messages run out, LINE refuses pushes until next month or until you raise the limit.
Good to know
- A customer who blocks your account cannot be messaged: The customer has blocked or unfollowed this account.
- A push reaches someone who never added your account only within 7 days of their last message. LINE sends no delivery or read receipts, so a message shows as sent.
- Group chats are not taken into the inbox. Sending your own files needs a public link, which is not available yet.
