Team and phones
Voicemail and ring groups
Turn voicemail on for an extension, and ring several people at once with somewhere to go when nobody answers.
Steps
Turn voicemail on
Open the Agents page of your phone system. Tick Voicemail on the row of each extension that should have it. Voicemail is off until you do. A caller who reaches that extension directly and gets no answer can then leave a message.
Apply the change
Saving stores the setting. Apply to the phone system on the same page so that it takes effect. Ringura creates the mailbox with a random PIN, so set a PIN of your own before anyone uses it.
Add a ring group
On the Agents page, choose Add a queue and tick Ring group. Give it a name and a number, and tick its members. Every member rings at once for the ring time you set, 30 seconds if you leave it empty. Callers do not wait in line.
Choose what happens next
Under When nobody answers, choose an extension. With voicemail on that extension, the caller can leave a message for the whole group. Point a number at the ring group as you would at a queue.
Good to know
- Dialler calls ring an agent's phone directly and never reach voicemail.
- Voicemail messages stay on the phone system. They do not appear in the inbox.
