Money and pricing

Set sell prices as a markup over supplier rates

Build a sell price plan over a supplier buy deck, preview every row, then publish it to your clients.

Last checked For: Platform owners (resellers use price books)

Steps

  1. Have a buy deck

A sell price plan starts from a supplier's buy deck. If no supplier deck has been imported yet, import one first.

  2. Create the plan

Open Pricing. Under Sell price plan, name the plan, choose the supplier and the version of its buy deck (or the latest), and set Markup (%), Round up to and Margin floor (%). Under Below the floor, choose whether to raise the price to the floor or refuse to publish. Choose Save plan.

  3. Add overrides

An override gives one prefix its own markup. It applies to every destination that starts with the prefix, and the longest matching prefix wins. Enter the prefix and the percentage and choose Add override.

  4. Price the numbers

Under Number fees, set the activation fee and monthly rental per country (two-letter code). They are marked up the same way.

  5. Preview

Choose Preview. Every row is priced without saving anything: buy, sell and margin, with the average and lowest margin and how many rows were raised to the floor.

  6. Publish to clients

Under Publish to clients, choose the saved plan and the clients, set Effective from and choose Publish. This creates a sell deck and assigns it to those clients.

Good to know

  • A price is never below cost. Prices are rounded up, so rounding never takes a price under the floor.
  • Publishing cannot be undone. A later price is a new publication from a later date.
  • Resellers do not use this page. They set a markup over their wholesale rates in price books: see White-label your console.
